SAMM's newsletter is published quarterly. The newsletter is an ideal way to pass information to the membership and for members to raise any issues of concern they may have. Members also like to share experiences, remember their loved ones in the memory corner, or submit their favourite poems for publication. The newsletter is only available to members. If you wish to become a member, please contact us. This year saw the formation of the Aboard Group for SAMM who have lost their loved one abroad. We have a very dedicated group of people whose loved ones have been murdered abroad who are willing to support families who are similarly bereaved. They are helping families who are experiencing difficulties with the investigation and judicial systems in many countries. When a murder is committed abroad there are additional problems and difficulties for these facilities to face and the formation of this group is a very important part of the support these families receive. We also maintain close links with the Foreign & Commonwealth Office. The photographs on this page are of a recent visit to New York. The British Consulate organised a visit to the New York Police Headquarters for a meeting with senior police officers and the Assistant Commissioner of Police (seen below with SAMM's Training & Development Officer) and another photograph of the trip to New York with staff from the British Consulate.

Several meetings followed on which included meeting personnel from the New York Fire Department. We were also privileged to meet with a group of bereaved parents who had lost their fireman sons in the tragedy on 9/11.
